“HUABJ’s Rock the Mic” is an hour-long podcast, based on Soundcloud. Club member, Amanda Torres, started “Rock the Mic” in November 2012. Torres, along with show producer, Arielle Burton, and varying club members discuss the hot news topics of the week with an influx of personal opinion. “Rock the Mic’s” goals for the 2013-2014 school year include interviews with featured guests, and bi-weekly podcasts.

“Black Ink” features timely news articles and features. “Black Ink” evolved from a print publication, established in 2007, to an online publication which began in the fall of 2011. The move to an online publication is in keeping with HUABJ’s objective to abreast of trends in journalism. Numerous articles from many of our members and student volunteers from Hofstra’s Communications Department have been published in "Black Ink". HUABJ has covered events in and around Hofstra University. HUABJ has also produced articles on national stories such as, Hofstra University Kicks off Pride Week With Corey Booker and the Presidential Debate of 2008 and 2012.
